School Lunch Menus

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is available to our pupils each day. The Breakfast Club begins at 8:30 a.m. and breakfast is served until 8.40 a.m.

If you would like your child to go along to a breakfast club, contact the school. Where payment is due, this should be paid in advance to the school office. Individual child and family rates can be found at Falkirk Council School Breakfast Clubs webpage.

Play Snacks

When your child first starts school, he or she will suddenly start growing quickly and become more active. So it’s crucial all meals and snacks are rich in nutrients and energy. What children eat affects not only their bodies, but also their learning and behaviour. The food choices they make now can influence their future eating habits and has a big affect on their health. The NHS Play Piece leaflet (attached below) provides further guidance and advice.

Lunch

The 3-week menu cycle meets the newly revised Scottish Nutritional Guidance for Food and Drink in Schools. Pupils can choose from traditional hot dishes, vegetarian and meat free options or a soup and sandwich option. A daily bread basket, salad trolley and water are included in the meal price. Every meal served includes a portion of fruit and 2 portions of vegetables.

iPay pre ordering choices for our primary menu are now loaded for pupils returning in August. Menus may be subject to change due to the continued issues with the global food supply chain. You can view lunch menus for each cycle on the Early Learning and Childcare Centre (ELCC) meals and  Falkirk Council Primary School Lunch Menu webpage.

Payments

Parents can pay and pre order their child's lunch using iPayImpact. This is a secure online payments system that allows you to pay for school-related items for your child(ren) online through your smartphone, tablet and computer.

New enrollments will receive a letter with a registration code to access iPayImpact from the school. This will enable you to set up your own personal account to pay and track school related payments, including school meals, concerts and school trips; see, at any time, all payments made and balance information; and manage costs for all of your children, even if at different Falkirk schools, from the same account.

For primary age children, you can pre-order meals for your child in advance, giving you full visibility and control over their lunch choices. Primary menus are currently loaded on a 3-week rotation. This provides flexibility and allows any menu changes to be made with minimal disruption to parents' preorder choices.

All pupils in Primary 1-5 are now entitled to a free school meal.

Medically Prescribed Diets

Children and young people may require medically prescribed diets. This can be for a number of reasons, including allergies/intolerances, diabetes and other medical conditions. This policy details our approach in supporting Children and Young People in these circumstances and ensures we have robust measures in place to safeguard pupils, parents and caterers where prescribed diets are requested.
