Carron Primary School Parent Council
We are very lucky to have an active Parent Council at Carron Primary. The Parent Council is a group of parents selected by all parents in the school to represent their views. Parent Councils have an important role to play in school improvement by ensuring that the parental perspective is represented and taken into account.
The Parent Council helps to create an environment where all parents know that their views matter, and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward. They work on behalf of all parents to discuss educational matters that are of importance to all. They do not get involved in individual circumstances relating to children or staff in the school.
The main aims of the Parent Council are:
- To support the school in its work with pupils.
- To represent the views of parents.
- To promote contact between the school, parents, pupils, providers of nursery education and the community.
- To report to the Parent Forum.
- To raise funds for the school for the benefit of pupils through P.T.A events.

Carron Primary School P.T.A.
We are very lucky at Carron Primary School to have an active Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A.). The P.T.A. organise numerous events throughout the school year including discos, fayres and fun days. The P.T.A. also contribute towards school trips and other events throughout the year.

The PTA are always looking for new members and parents are welcome and encouraged to attend and support this group. Parents can read minutes of the P.T.A. meetings held each session on our School App.
